First off i want to thank iLLUSiON for sharing the IMAGiNE source and inviting me to have a crack at this. And also for showing me how to fully remove the flicker. Thnx m8 :)

The source for this is badly cropped, heavy flickery, blocky, dull, dirty and off balance. It also has signs of a botched deinterlacing job that cant be fully removed. I feel the audio was decent line audio though.

With the video i...
Loaded into virtual dub and used a deflicker filter and a deblocker + deringer
I then loaded it into megui and did the following using avisynth scripting
Tweeked the saturation up a good amount, the contrast up a notch and dropped the brightness a good bit
Added a second run with a deblocking filter to remove the reminants from the first run through
Added a second run with a deflicker filter to remove the reminants from the first run through
Ran over each frame once with undot
Used seesaw combined with megachroma to lightly clean each frame 3 times then sharpen back out 6 times.

With the audio i...
Ran through a declicker filter and a noise filter
Rebalanced the audio using a gfx equilizer
Added a 170 millisec delay to help tighten sync up all the way.

Result is still badly cropped. Cant put back whats not there. There is faint remains of the interlacing and its a bit blurry. It is however a heck of a lot better looking than the origional and is much easier to watch. Audio keeps a tight sync from start to finish. Audio is good in this.
