Si tratta di uno spin-off della serie televisiva The Walking Dead, basata sul fumetto omonimo di Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore e Charlie Adlard. La AMC ha dato il via libera alla serie il 9 marzo 2015 con un ordine di due stagioni.
