At the beginning of 2014, Car Mechanic Simulator 2014 was released - a car mechanic simulator that initiated the new PlayWay series (the publisher of titles like The Way and Helicopter: Natural Disasters). Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 is its third version and the first one, which is designed not only for PC, but also for Sony and Microsoft consoles.

The general assumptions of the cycle have not changed, so all the time it is production in which we try to repair various vehicles (this time we received over forty machines). To this end, we must check and replace a number of parts from which individual cars are built. All to get publicity and attract more customers with spoiled cars.

The gameplay in Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 on a Windows PC runs in several stages. At the beginning, we accept a repair order. Next, we approach the machine in the workshop and check what is happening. If the problem can occur, for example, in the engine, we open the hood and unscrew the motor, looking for a fault. After detecting it, you need to replace the broken part, use a variety of tools. We do not have access to everyone right away, because some things are gained only after reaching a higher level of the workshop. Of course, we also need to find the element that is needed, which certainly is somewhere in the warehouse. In addition, the game allows you to paint vehicles or test them on the racetrack.

The title represents the genre of simulators, but the gameplay is quite affordable also for people who do not know how to repair vehicles. Interesting elements of cars are surrounded by a colorful border, on the screen there are instructions showing what can be done at a given moment, etc.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 is a nice-looking production, which in the version for the Windows PC platform catches the eye primarily through carefully mapped car models. The environment we are moving around does not delight in terms of the design, in the end it is an ordinary car workshop, but it has been well done. The whole is rubbed with photorealism at times.

In Poland, the game was promoted by Adam Klimek - a famous car mechanic, known among others from the TV program Car of dreams - buy and do. In addition, a special edition, including a reflective vest, appeared in selected stores.
