Tien jaar nadat hij in een heroïsch gevecht de monsterlijke Kraken heeft verslagen, probeert Perseus – halfgod en zoon van Zeus – een normaal leven te leiden als visserman. Ondertussen strijden goden en Giganten om de overheersing. De goden zijn verzwakt door een gebrek aan menselijke devotie en verliezen de controle over de gevangen Giganten en hun woeste leider Kronos, de vader van de heersende broers Zeus, Hades en Poseidon. Het triumviraat heeft hun vader lang geleden van de troon gestoten en hem aan zijn lot overgelaten in de Tartarus, een kerker diep in de onderwereld. Wanneer Hades en Ares, Zeus’ goddelijke zoon, een deal met Kronos sluiten om Zeus gevangen te nemen, neemt de macht van de Giganten toe en barst de hel op Aarde los. Samen met de krijgster Andromeda, Argenor, halfgod en zoon van Poseidon, en de gevallen god Hephaestus trekt Perseus diep de onderwereld in om Zeus te redden, de Giganten te overwinnen en de mensheid te redden.

Storyline

The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld. Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus' godly son, Ares (Edgar Ramírez), switch loyalty and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans' strength grows stronger as Zeus' remaining godly powers are siphoned...
