Buckcherry:

Wikipedia:
Buckcherry is an American rock band from Anaheim, California, formed in 1995. The band released two albums, Buckcherry (1999) and Time Bomb (2001), before dissolving in 2002. In 2005, lead vocalist Josh Todd and lead guitarist Keith Nelson reformed Buckcherry with a new lineup and released a new album in 2006, 15. It contained Buckcherry's biggest crossover hits to date, "Crazy Bitch", and their first Billboard Hot 100 top ten hit, "Sorry". Their fourth album, Black Butterfly, was released in 2008, and their fifth album, All Night Long, was released in 2010. Buckcherry released their sixth album, Confessions, in 2013, followed by their seventh album Rock 'n' Roll in 2015. They will release their next album Warpaint in 2019.

Warpaint:

Billboard Review by Gary Graff:
Buckcherry will be putting its Warpaint on with the March 8 release of its eighth studio album. And frontman and co-founder Josh Todd says the Los Angeles hard rock veterans were "really thorough" in putting together the 12-song set.

"I don't want to put too much on it, like saying it's one of our best records, but I truly believe that (it is)," Todd tells Billboard. He and guitarist Stevie D. started writing songs more than a year ago, coming up with about 30 that the group took to producer Mike Plotnikoff, working with Buckcherry for the first time since 2005's 15, which was the band's last platinum album.

"It was a long labor of love," Todd says. "We were writing and rewriting. We knew the kind of record we had to make. At the end of the day it comes down to the songs. We had to make sure we had the songs, and we had so many songs but we broke it down to 10 that worked."

Buckcherry began the Warpaint campaign earlier this month with the release of a cover of Nine Inch Nails' "Head Like a Hole," with a video for the track, directed by Jeremy Saffer, just released. The other 11 songs, according to Todd, are determinedly designed to bring Buckcherry back to the radio.

"We haven't really had a presence on radio for, like three records. That's really frustrated me," Todd acknowledges. "It's tough, because Buckcherry doesn't sound like any other rock band on the radio. That works for us and against us at times. But we were really thorough this time on making sure we had songs that carried the whole integrity of Buckcherry and brought it into more of the Active Rock format so we would get a shot at radio. That's what we really want. It's time for this band, Buckcherry, to shine again."

Todd says Warpaint contains "some sleeper songs I didn't know were gonna be great until we started recording them," including the rockers "No Regrets," Back Down" and "Bent" -- the latter of which Todd calls "one of the best songs on the record -- and slower, change-of-pace tunes such as "Radio Song" and "The Hunger."

Buckcherry will hit the road Jan. 16 for a handful of California shows before heading to the U.K. and Europe during February. And Todd promises fans will be seeing quite a bit of the band throughout 2019 -- and likely beyond. "That's what we do, that's what we love," Todd says of touring. "We're going out with just guns blazing. Right now we're looking for a good package for summer. The spring is getting worked out as we speak. We're setting up the whole year, so we're going to be out there. We'll have our warpaint on, for sure."
