The Reptile
Harry and Valerie Spalding arrive in the remote Cornish village to an unwelcoming and suspicious population. Harry's brother dies suddenly, bitten by a lethal reptilian bite. They befriend a young woman Anna whose tyrannical father controls her life and, as they discover that others in the village have suffered a similar fate, their investigations lead to Anna. What they uncover is a victim of the most terrifying legacy... a destiny of mutilation and murder.
The Reptile (1966), directed by John Gilling, remastered, encoded in 10 bit HEVC with AAC sound, including original theatrical stereo and English subtitles.

Note : This mid-period Hammer horror is pretty good, a branching out from the typical Hammer monsters to try to create an original creature, all with the help of some old-fashioned orientalism. It was shot on most of the same sets as The Plague of the Zombies, by the same director, and with several of the same actors. I think that film is probably better than this, but this has a less stupid motivation for the antagonist, so who knows.
Harry Spalding and his wife move in to his dead brother's cottage in a small village in Cornwall, and try to unravel the mystery of what's killing the villagers (and also killed his brother). The villagers, however, are uncooperative, and claim it's "The Black Death". A strange doctor who lives nearby with his daughter Anna and an Asian servant seems weirdly callous about the deaths, and when Harry gets bitten by a mysterious creature, it's up to his wife and their only friend in the village to figure out what's really going on.
This is a decent enough remaster, the softness of some of the footage, doubtlessly due to the optics of the period, prevents it from being particularly sharp, but color and contrast is pretty nice, and grain is present but not overly prominent. The stereo track is really a dual mono track, no commentary or extras, sadly.
