Note : Here's a film widely considered one of the worst ever made, and you know, I don't have a lot to say in this one's favor. It's slow-moving, badly acted, and kind of boring, the plot makes very little sense, and the low budget is very apparent. But, with the addition of the MST3k and RiffTraxLive commentary tracks, it's quite entertaining. Also, this film features the longest fight with gardening tools ever filmed, confirmed by the Guinness Book of Records.

Kevin takes a job as a security guard at a a film studio, not knowing the previous guard died under mysterious circumstances in an old vault on the property. When Kevin also stumbles onto the vault, it turns out to contain a group of small hairy aliens, who escape. Kevin's fellow security guard explains that the hobgoblins crash-landed on the studio lot years before, and he's been keeping them locked up ever since. The hobgoblins can hypnotize people to make their dreams seemingly come true, but the victims inevitably die when their fantasies turn against them. Kevin and his very dumb and horny friends have to track down and re-capture the aliens before they, I don't know, do some more of that stuff they do, but they all get mixed up in their own wildest dreams, and chaos ensued, leading up to the explosive finale.

This remaster was ok looking, but very grainy, especially in the night sequences, so I've applied a light degrain. The mono track sounds fine for what it is, the director's commentary sounds apologetic, and the two riff commentaries are both very amusing. I hope this is the definitive release of this film, so I don't have to watch it again.

HeVK torrents always have lots of keywords. Try searching for “hevk sci-fi horror” for more aliens and spaceships, but scary, “hevk comedy” for more laffs, or “hevk 80s” for more from the decade of the high-budget blockbuster and bottom of the barrel fare.
