Note : After the first film was a success, it was inevitable that Chucky would return, and this is where they really started leaning into the humor. It'd still be a while until they just made Chucky the straight up protagonist, but it's plenty ridiculous, with the setpieces in a candy-colored Rube Goldberg machine of a toy factory the standouts, as well as appearances by old horror-comedy familiars like Jenny Agutter and Gerrit Graham, veteran character actress Grace Zabriskie, and 90s bad girl Christine Elise, along with Brad Dourif returning to voice Chucky, and Alex Vincent as Andy, of course. It's all good, fun fluff.

The Good Guys doll factory has recovered from the bad publicity, and refurbishes Chucky to prove there was nothing wrong with the doll, but during the process, and worker dies by electrocution, and Chucky is hastily discarded, now resurrected. In the meantime, Andy's been placed into foster care after his mother was committed for believing in killer dolls. Andy has trouble adjusting, but starts bonding with Kyle, a teenage girl also in foster care, and when Chucky returns and people start dying, it's up to the two to stop him.

This 4k remaster is pretty perfect, restrained grain, nice color and contrast, sharp without exaggerating, and both the 7.1 track and the original stereo sound very good. Commentary track is fine too.
