Languages: English, Italian, French, Spanish

Encoder Note: Total encoding time was 21h 28m on an i9-12900k. SVT-AV1 v1.7 Mode 4 was used, which is equivalent to Mode 3 on v1.6. The video stream was compressed from 61.6GB HEVC to 12GB AV1. Video compression ratio is 5.1 to 1. (3.4 to 1 after AV1 efficiencies) The bitrate of the video stream is 12.3Mbps in AV1. This has the benefits of a high 4K bitrate in AV1. 90% of the file size is the video quality. 5% English audio, 2% Italian audio, 1% French audio, 1% Spanish audio and 1% subtitles. AC3 is used for English for compatibility with optical setups. Equivalent quality OPUS is used for other languages. The OPUS bitrates are based on the source quality. The video quality of this release is comparable to the Bluray video quality at just 18% of the file size. The 74.3GB bluray remux is a fraction of a percent point better at 6 times the file size. This is why we encode.

Distribution note: This movie will be distributed with a 16MB piece size for rapid seeding with fewer resources. Enjoy the fast download speeds.

UserHEVC screenshots are now JPEG tone mapped for rapid page loading speeds and more accurate video quality representation.

UserHEVC encodes AV1 movies. Razor high video quality. Reasonable file size.

UserHEVC recommends a 24GB x264 or 18GB HEVC video stream, to match 12GB video quality on AV1.

“I encode videos to solve a problem, not to create one.” - UserHEVC

I started encoding videos to strive to do better. My Computer Science background helps to make better choices. File size is a problem, which is why video codecs (such as AVC, HEVC and AV1) compress bits of information. The choices we make to configure video codecs, impact us more than we know.

Please seed, it's a respect thing:

Quote:

It's recommended to seed for at least a 1:1 ratio or 24 hours. Otherwise, the uploader's work goes to waste. The torrent will not propagate as effectively and there will be less seeders retained long term. If you have a slow connection – it's fine. Staying on the torrent for 24 hours has a tremendous impact!

Still think the file size is too high for 4K content? Here's an example of colour issues. These occur at smaller 4K file sizes. A good benchmark bit-rate for 2160p AV1 is 10Mbps
