Horror Science Fiction

They're not human. But they hunt human women. Not for killing. For mating.

Humanoids from the Deep (1980) aka Monster, directed by Barbara Peeters and an uncredited Jimmy T. Murakami, Uncut Shout! Factory 4k remaster, encoded in 10 bit HEVC with AAC sound, including original theatrical stereo, two commentary tracks, and English and German subtitles.

IMDb : https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080904/

Video encoded in two-pass 13.0 Mbps x265 10bit with the veryslow preset for archive quality image. Audio encoded separately with Apple AAC for the highest-quality AAC sound available.

Text subtitles converted to SRT, image subtitles converted to VobSub and repositioned.

Note : Here's one for the monsterfuckers out there (no, don't deny it, what you crave when you're in your bed at night is none of my business), and possibly very loosely inspired by Lovecraft's The Shadow over Innsmouth, it's a tale of mutated fish monsters coming out of the sea to, as producer Roger Corman put it, kill all the men and rape all the women. And that's certainly what happens in this pretty dumb film which sports quite good practical monster effects by legendary FX master Rob Bottin (The Fog, The Thing, RoboCop, and Total Recall), and a whole bunch of gore, tits, and, ahem, rape, at the insistence of Corman, who had additional rape scenes shot without the knowledge of the cast.

Fishermen off the Northern California coast catch some sort of monstrous creature, but in trying to reel it in, a young boy falls overboard and is killed, and then they fuck up so badly that their whole boat explodes. Soon after, the town's dogs start disappearing and turning up mutilated, and then a young couple swimming is attacked by a monster, the man killed and the woman raped, a scene which repeats itself soon after with another couple camping on the beach. It turns out a canning company accidentally released salmon treated with a experimental growth hormone into the sea, which were eaten by other fish that have mutated into large, green-skinned fishmen for some some reason, but at least the hormone might explain why they're all rapists. It all comes to a head at the town festival on the boardwalk, as well as with the realization that one of the surviving women is pregnant.

This is a nice-looking remaster, clean and reasonably sharp, with good color and contrast. I boosted the bitrate to adequately encode the multiple underwater shots, which are often difficult, and the result is a very transparent encode. Stereo track sounds good, one of the commentary tracks is in German without subtitles, but it's included for those able to enjoy it.

HeVK torrents always have lots of keywords. Try searching for “hevk creature horror” for more mysterious and monstrous living things, “hevk sci-fi horror” for more science gone wild, or “hevk 80s” for more from the decade of as much tits and gore as possible.
