The Loreley's Grasp
The legendary Loreley has been living for centuries in a grotto beneath the river Rhein in Germany. Every night when the moon is full, she turns into a reptile-like creature craving for human blood. When one girl after another of a nearby boarding school is killed by her, a hunter named Sirgurd is engaged to kill the monster. Written by Andreas Pieper

Note : Right after he made the first Blind Dead film, Amando de Ossorio wrote and directed this weird little creature feature about a lady river monster who preys on the students at a boarding school for girls. Tony Kendall stars as a handsome hunter who manages to get involved with both a bunch of the students and also the monster in human form, played by Helga Liné. Several de Ossorio regulars, most notably José Thelman, show up and get hideously murdered, and there's a fair amount of gore and nudity. The whole thing is just incredibly bizarre, mixing modern Germany with a full-on mad scientist laboratory, a whip-wielding, hooded monster henchman, green-skinned Brides of Dracula, I mean, Loreley, and they even get Tony Kendall into a cape and pirate shirt at some point just so they can chain him up in an underground ruin.
In a small German village, a girls' school is plagued by the repeated gory murders of their lesbian-teasing students every full moon, and Sigurd, a local hunter, is called in to put a stop to it, while the villagers blame everything on a legendary river monster. While ineffectually prowling around, Sigurd starts encountering a mysterious woman who he nearly has sex with several times, and he also gets in touch with a local scientist who has created an irradiated dagger which will turn the monster back into human form. Sigurd eventually takes a break for seducing everything with a heartbeat to practice some underwater demolition, gets sidetracked again by green-skinned feral women, and finally manages to choose a human woman over a gnarly, rapidly decaying corpse.
This remaster is pretty bad, with a combination of noise reduction and sharpening that makes it look almost like a waxy blow-up from SD, but I guess it doesn't matter too much. Stereo tracks sound fine, commentary is entertaining.
