Lady Beatrice Pokingham - A story from 'The Pearl'

The Pearl was a Victorian underground erotic magazine. Published in London, it ran from 1879 to 1881, when it was shut down by the authorities.

One of the stories in it, Lady Beatrice Pokingham, recounted the sexual adventures of a young noblewoman. A new manuscript for this story was discovered in the 1980s, and is for the first time reproduced in full in this book. It adds to the original 40,000 words novella with an additional 280,000 words.

Note that the story reflects the sexual mores of the Victorian era and that many of the events depicted herein would not be acceptable today.
