Taxi Driver was scanned in 5K from British open-matte 35mm (slightly) censored print. The print had fair red-fade, but looks pretty decent once that has been graded out. There were also variations in levels, exposure, saturation & colour balance, from section to section, and even shot-to-shot in some places. Being censored by the BBFC, this print lost a second covering the end of one shot of Iris unzipping Travis's fly and a little of the next shot with Travis pushing her away. I've replaced the two truncated shots with the same from the retail Blu-Ray; regraded to match the existing footage. It also plays with the BBFC 'X' certificate card beforehand.

Most of the print shows the full 1.18:1 open-matte frame, although the frame does vary from shot to shot, so I've cropped it to the widest shots. You can see more picture on every side over the 1.85:1 cropped retail Blu-Ray release, especially the top & bottom. In comparison, the Blu-Ray looks darker and variously quite yellow or green, while the colours of this print a fairly bright & neutral. The audio here is dual mono, taken from the 35mm optical strip.
