Note : Some more Hong Kong Category III madness, this is a classic exploitation film in the sense that it pretends to be seriously about some true crime stuff, in this case real-life serial killer Lam Kor-Wan, but it's mostly concerned with the tits and gore, you know, the important stuff. It's grotty and sleazy, but pretty decent all in all, and stars several actors we know and love, including Simon Yam as a fucked-up serial killer, Danny Lee, apparently still not tired of playing a cop, as he co-directs this film and also stars in it, Kent Cheng, still fat comic relief, and Emily Kwan. Plenty of sleaze to go around for you freaks.

A young boy is bullied by his stepmother, and when he grows up, he hates women, like, a lot. He works as a taxi driver, and one day the police pick him up over some obscene photos, but when they search the house where he lives with his father and siblings, they come across much worse, namely photos of dead women being dismembered. The cops do the honorable, righteous thing and torture him, so finally he breaks down and tells his story. He turns out to get murderous urges when it rains, and his first victim was a young female passenger who annoyed him, so he strangled her, took the body home, and dismembered it. After a severed breast turns up in evidence, Lamb has to explain that story, which involves a lot of cutting and hacking, and so on. It's not a complicated story, but it has a lot of nudity and gore.

This is a grungy, murky, grainy remaster with relatively little saturation and variable contrast, but it does feel somewhat like watching this in a grindhouse cinema somewhere. Stereo track sounds fine, commentary track is interesting enough.
