There are two main audio masterings here, an older one used on most discs, and a newer one made for the new 4K Restoration, used by Arrow, Kino and Shout. The former has virtually no filtering and sounds excellent, the latter is noticably muffled in comparison and was preferred. Used Twilight Time, it's 24-bit and has consistent volume with score/commentary tracks (most of which come from the same disc, as others used lossy encoding). Spliced audio for the studio logos (first 35 seconds) from Shout to avoid an awkward silence.
I included two sets of subtitles, one from Shout, translating only a handful of key Spanish lines in the film, and another from Arrow, which translates all foreign dialogue. As far as I can tell, as far as home media goes, US releases translated only select sentences (MGM's NTSC DVD, all US BDs) or nothing (LaserDisc), whereas overseas releases (Arrow, Imprint, Koch, MGM's PAL DVD) translated everything.
I couldn't find any definitive information on what would have been used theatrically and felt that including both is the safest thing to do here, with the default given to the more conservative US-release option. The closest thing I could find to a confirmation is this post.
