This is one of my most favourite movies - its a great adventure
for the aluminum siding salesmen depicted (played by Richard Dreyfuss
and Danny Devito) to try and perhaps even con unsuspecting homeowners
out of money they may not otherwise meed to put up. A great comedy!

No doubt one of the best two movies made about the sales profession
in my view - the other being "Glengarry Glen Ross" starring Mr.
Al Pacino in a most brilliant performance easily worthy of an Oscar,
and which we have posted here for you in a couple of versions including

When people are rightly integrated into a community of their peers
and are employed in such a manner as to mitigate factors that could
cause them to act desperate in their pursuit of success (for example
being in straight commission sales rather than being on a guaranteed
wage plus bonus) they are less likely to take on a predatory attitude
towards members of the community in which they serve, when they don't
feel they're dealing in a situation where they are driven to show more caring
instead given their own sense of loyalties and sense of belonging and Christianly
conscience as might be engaged.

Big-ticket sales is a great and proud profession and only people of integrity
with a fair pay plan should be involved I believe
